Distilled on 1998 from the Glenburgie distillery, aged for 17 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead and bottled by The Single Malts of Scotland.
TASTING NOTES
Nose
Starts with creamy porridge, lime, grass, lemongrass, a meadow or orchard on a spring day with pears, apples, stone fruit (a bit sour), green melon and after a few minutes, a big fruity note with barley sugar.
Palate
Nice creamy mouthfeel, followed by a big hit of fresh pink grapefruit. A very nice arrival, followed by more of an oaky bitterness and mellow grassy notes, as well as nectarines and lemon zest.
Finish
Sour apple fades to leave sweet dried apple rings and wine gum fruit.
